Porcini, chanterelle & co.: a forecast for each species
Every species has its own needs. Porcini like different trees and soils than chanterelles, the bay bolete different temperatures than the shaggy ink cap. The Pro forecast therefore calculates each of the more than 30 species separately – with the mushroom weather of the past months, the forecast and the site data of your location.
This includes what the soil and the forest are like at your location – and which trees grow there. So you see not only whether it is mushroom time, but also which mushrooms have the best chances where you are.

How many factors does the Pro forecast use?
52 data factors per analysis from weather, soil, terrain, forest and tree species – weighted separately for each of the 32 species. Exactly which factors and how they are combined is our trade secret.
How is Pro different from the basic forecast?
The basic forecast looks at the weather in general. The Pro forecast calculates per species and adds the soil and forest conditions at your location.
Where does the site data come from?
From public weather services and research institutions across Europe – measured where available, otherwise model and map data, not measurements at your favourite spot. The institutions are listed under “Data sources” in the page footer.
