How to start your blog

Waldschatzfinder does not sell data, shows no ads and uses no advertising or tracking networks. Here you can see exactly what is stored on your device and why – and you decide about everything that is not strictly necessary.

Necessary

Always active

Without these entries the site does not work (login, security, language). They are only used to run the site.

Name	Purpose	Duration	Type
`__Host-MyAppSession`	Keeps you logged in and protects forms from misuse. Contains only a random identifier.	until you close the browser	Cookie
`lang`	Remembers the language you chose.	30 days	Cookie
`wsf-consent`	Remembers this selection.	until you delete it	Browser storage
`wsf-blog-draft-…, wsf-recipe-…, wsf-p2-lines, wsf-places, Service-Worker-Cache`	Temporary storage on your device, never sent to third parties: draft of a blog post, ticked ingredients in a recipe, curve selection of the analysis, recently searched places, offline copies of visited pages.	until you delete it	Browser storage

Statistics (optional)

Allow statistics

We use Matomo, which runs on our own server, to see how the site is used so we can improve it. IP addresses are stored shortened, "Do Not Track" is respected and nothing goes to third parties. Without your consent the measurement runs entirely without cookies; with consent Matomo sets the two cookies below.

Name	Purpose	Duration	Type
`_pk_id.7.…`	Recognises returning visitors anonymously (random identifier).	13 months	Cookie
`_pk_ses.7.…`	Groups the page views of one visit.	30 minutes	Cookie

External content (only if you use it)

These contents set no cookies. However, your browser connects to the respective provider, who then sees your IP address:

Maps (hotspot map, species map, blog): map tiles from OpenStreetMap, depending on the view also from Esri (satellite) or OpenTopoMap.
Videos in blog posts: YouTube and Vimeo are only loaded after your click.
Mushroom AI: photos you upload are sent to an AI service (Google Gemini) for analysis.

You can change your selection at any time under "Cookie settings" in the footer of the site. More in the privacy policy
